How do I know if alterations are available and make order
 

1. Items that eligible for alterations

If alterations are available for your pants, the alteration options will appear underneath the sizes on the item page.
If the product does not have this option, it isn't eligible for alterations.

2. How to place an order

Step 1 : Once you select the color, size and length of the item you want to alter,
you may choose the alteration stitch type. Alteration type vary depending on the product.

Step 2 : pick the length you want the items to be shorten to and add to shopping cart.

To maintain the original fit of the product, the following items are not eligible for alteration :

-. Non-pants items (if applicable)

-. Warm bottoms and flared pants

-. Special designs such as zipper, button, ripped details on the bottom of the pant legs

-. Designs with elastic such as Jogger Pants

-. Items made of Nylon, polyester and linen

-. The hems of the bottom of the pant legs are less than 1 cm

-. Non-UNIQLO items

※ Blind Stitch only available for selected business wear.

※ Cut-Off Stitch requires washing to achieve the intended effect.

※ The hem of the product after alteration will differ from the original one.


Pick-up time

Orders that include pant alterations will require an additional 24 hours beyond the estimated delivery time frame.

※ Products that have been altered are not eligible for return or exchange.

※ Lengthening service is not available.

※ Be sure to select your desired alteration type and inseam length before adding the eligible item to your cart.
Please note any changes to the item cannot be modified after purchase.
We recommend cancelling your order within 30 minutes if changes are needed. You may place a new order afterwards.

※ As garments may shrink after washing and measurements may vary depending on the person or method used,
please avoid providing an inseam length that is too exact to prevent the final altered length from being too short.

※ Since the alteration is hand-made, and there may be slight differences in the measurement method.
There may be less than 0.5 - 1cm differences between the final altered length and your selected inseam length.

  • Q. Can the online pants alteration service be used for all online purchases ?

    A. The online pants alteration service is only available for orders with 'Home Delivery / Pick-up Point' as the delivery method.
    If you choose 'Store Pickup', you may request pants alterations at the store after collecting your order.

  • Q. I’ve selected an item and would like to alter the pants length, why can't I see the option available ?

    A. Hemming may not be available for certain bottoms due to their material or design.
    If the [Alteration] option isn’t shown below the size selection, the item does not support length alteration.

  • Q. I selected the wrong pants length for alteration. What can I do ?

    A. Refunds must be requested within 30 minutes of order placement and apply to the entire order.
    After 30 minutes, alterations are completed and returns or exchanges are not accepted.
    Any modifications to the item cannot be completed after purchase.

  • Q. There's a error in my alteration. What can I do ?

    A. If there is a quality issue with the item or the length of the pants is not match with what you have selected from the order (more than 1cm difference), we will deal with it according to the return and exchange rules.
    If you want to return or exchange other items which in the same order, please apply and follow < Exchange, Return and Refund Policy >.

  • Q. Can the length of pants be extended after they have been altered ?

    A. When altering pants through the UNIQLO online store, the inseam is directly cut to the specified length.
    Once the hem has been altered, it cannot be extended.

  • Q. Can I request alteration after purchase ?

    A. To request pants length alteration through the UNIQLO online store, please select your desired inseam on the product page when placing your order.
    For alterations after purchase, you may visit any UNIQLO physical store with the item and receipt.

  • Q. Can I redo alterations for altered products ?

    A. If you wish to make changes to your alterations for items purchased in-stores,
    please visit a UNIQLO store to consult with a store staff, no time limit.
    Depending on the re-alteration request, stores may be unable to proceed with the request.

  • Q. Can the waist and leg width of the pants be altered too ?

    A. We only offer pants length alteration for eligible styles.
    We cannot accommodate other requests such as sleeve length changes, tapering leg width, or adjusting the waist.
